DISCLOSURE
I have been painting and drawing since I was a small child. I have always enjoyed color and visualized paintings of nature, the winter scenes in St. Louis, violet shadows in the snow, icles hanging from trees excited me towards landscape. The strong scenes of cambria with the golden rocks and deep blues are frequently in my paintings.
My abstracts have the full energy, color, design and beauty without subject matter. When I paint watercolors of landscapes they flow with an ancient asian feeling, simple with quiet space. Doing yoga for many years has spilled over on the watercolors.
Working with clay has some of this zen feeling for me. I love throwing on the wheel ceramic vessels and hand building animals and figures. I have always had dogs and cats and frequently create them in clay.
